Application Guidelines

Only cultural organizations in the City of Toronto may apply.

There are no application forms. Only one copy of a proposal is required. It should contain the following information:

  • A brief description of the organization’s history, objectives and activities
  • A concise statement of the purpose of the request, its significance or uniqueness in relation to other work being done in the field and the results sought
  • The specific amount being requested
  • A detailed budget for the program and an indication of other prospective funding sources
  • A list of the members of the Board of Directors
  • The organization’s National Revenue Registration Number confirming the applicant’s status as a registered charity
  • Applicants with annual revenues over $100,000 will be required to provide audited financial statements

The Foundation prefers to initiate site visits or meetings, if needed, after receiving an application and generally discourages pre-application meetings.
